Squaxin Island Tribe Museum Library and Research Center resembles a petroglyph of “Thunderbird” (a character found in many local legends), houses exhibits and artifacts offering insight to the People of the Water, as the tribe is known. The center offers a remarkable opportunity to learn from the tribe about their history and connection to the surrounding lands.
