Chico

The community consists of expensive country homes grouped around a large general store and a school.

It was named by B. S. Sparks in 1889 for Native American Chief Chico, who died in 1909. Chico was also known as William Whoa Whoa. He lived a long life of nearly one hundred years. A post office operated from February 25, 1889 to May 15, 1924.
