Where the tide flats meet the foothills at the apex of a narrow valley, lying between two ridges that run to the water’s edge. Duckabush is the provisioning point for hikers tramping the Duckabush Trail and for a few small-scale ranches in the foothills. A post office was established in 1891 and operated until 1926.
