Elwha Campground Community Kitchen

A 1-story, log, Rustic Style open-air shelter with an octagonal hip roof. The wood shaked roof is supported by peeled logs, set on concrete piers on a concrete foundation. A central chimney is built of coursed stone set in mortar. The kitchen is located in the Olympic National Park Elwha Campground, a wooded area approximately 3 miles south of Highway 101, and approximately 15 miles southwest of Port Angeles. The kitchen is in good condition and has had very little alteration since constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935.
