A small resort center in the glen at the base of Goat Peak. Goose Prairie is on the Bumping River. Thomas Fife had a homestead on the prairie and it was named “…because he saw a lone goose flying…” The prairie later became more well known when was written about by U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas who had a summer home there.
