Joyce is a community south of Crescent Bay west of Port Angeles. It was named for J. M. Joyce, who operated a store and shingle mill when Port Angeles Western Railroad was built into the area.

Camp Hayden
A military reservation on Cape Flattery on the Makah Native American Reservation. Originally a harbor defense unit it was later used as a radar base. When established in 1941, it was named Fort Hayden for Brig. Gen. John L. Hayden, who commanded Puget Sound Harbor defenses between 1919 and 1922. On April 1, 1944, the official name was changed to Camp Hayden by General order No. 27, of the War Department.
