The narrow island hugs the mainland shoreline and contains four picnic sites accessible only by boat. The long island is separated from the Shillapoo Wildlife Area by the narrow Fisherman’s Slough. Downstream from the island is Tina Bar were some of the famed skyjacker D. B. Cooper’s money turned up. On the mainland, immediately across from the island is Kadow’s Marina, which had a brief role in the 2008 vampire movie “Twilight.”
