Seattle soul station KYAC went on air in 1965. Although it was originally owned by a White man, Don Dudley eventually took ownership of the station and became the first African American to own a radio station in Seattle. At one point, KYAC had an AM and FM simulcast, 96.5 FM and 1460 AM.
