Polson Creek rises northwest of Hoquiam in southwest Grays Harbor County and flows east to the West Fork of the Hoquiam River north of Hoquiam. The name is for Alex and Robert Polson who came from Nova Scotia in the early 1900s, forming Polson Brothers Logging Company. They cut timber along this creek with ox teams and built a number of splash dams to float logs to their saw mills.
