This small lake is north of Maple Falls in north central Whatcom County. An alternate name, which is even more commonplace, is Fish Lake. The lake is 172.8 acres in size at the head of Maple Creek and is drained to the North Fork of the Nooksack River.

The lake is located at the base of the timbered slopes of Black Mountain.

Silver Lake Park camping areas accommodate tents, trailers, RVs and horses, with access to many miles of trails. Six rustic cabins overlooking the lake and the Overnight Lodge provide additional accommodations. The Gerdrum Historical House and Black Mountain Forestry Center, located nearby, give insight into early Whatcom County history.
