This site along beautiful Spanaway Lake is extremely popular. Visitors to the park can explore a multitude recreational opportunities and walking trails along several thousand feet of waterfront. In the holiday season, it is home to “Fantasy Lights,” the largest drive-through holiday display in the Northwest.
Spanaway Lake was once known as Bushelier Lake for a Donation Land Claim holder of that name. The official name of the community, Lake Park, was not changed by the U. S. Board of Geographic Names until 1970.
