The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington serves as the trail anchor for this segment. With its four sites, this segment brings you past several key community organizations, including the Nisei Veterans Committee Hall with outdoor exhibits and memorial wall and the Seattle Indian Health Board.

The now closed MacPherson Leather Company reflects the working-class residents in the area and beyond.
