Ohanapecosh Hot Springs

This 25 mile side trip winds down SR 123 to the Ohanapecosh Visitor Center and hot springs for a refreshing break from driving.

Facilities at the hot springs include a lodge, cabins, campgrounds, and mineralized springs which emerge at temperatures of from 105-124 degrees F. The National Park Service policy of not developing resorts within park boundaries has limited its use as a spa. Comfort stations 0302 and 0303 were both built in 1935 as part of a public auto camp after the area was incorporated into Mount Rainier National park in 1931....
