Ohanapecosh Hot Springs

Facilities at the hot springs include a lodge, cabins, campgrounds, and mineralized springs which emerge at temperatures of from 105-124 degrees F. The National Park Service policy of not developing resorts within park boundaries has limited its use as a spa.

Comfort stations 0302 and 0303 were both built in 1935 as part of a public auto camp after the area was incorporated into Mount Rainier National park in 1931. The two-room masonry and log structures were derived from standard plans done by the National Park Service Division Branch of Plans and Design, and were likely built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
