The start of a trio of large, frothy waterfalls in a steep-sided gorge, right next to the highway (Sunset and Bridal Falls make up the other two). Because of the nature of the gorge, Eagle Falls has a tendency to partly submerge itself when the river is running at its peak, causing the falls to appear as a long, flat, white fluffy flume. As the river subsides for the year, the falls become more defined. There is a pullout area on the right and left sides of road with access to the Skykomish River (signage indicating the falls is only visible coming east from Index).
