Grassmere

The first name was Ponto, chosen by the Great Northern Railway. Residents disliked the name, and changed it to the name of a town in Michigan. C. W. Griest platted the town in 1901 and had a post office and a store. The school was consolidated with Concrete in 1936 and the post office was closed in 1921.
